Raised in London, Dumas Haddad is an award-winning director and writer whose work draws from the worlds of fashion, music, and contemporary culture.
Known for intimate, emotionally charged storytelling, his films balance tension, vulnerability, and striking performances with a cinematic intensity that lingers long after the frame cuts to black. From collaborating with artists including Priya Ragu and brands such as Samsung, his strength lies in performance-led storytelling and his ability to weave culture, identity, and human emotion into every frame.
Over the years, his work has received widespread recognition, earning accolades including a Webby Award, Vimeo Staff Pick recognition, Short of the Week selection, and features from Film4, D&AD, Berlin Commercial, and 1.4’s On The Cusp of Greatness showcase.
Speaking on the signing, Head of Sales at Friend, Viviana Cerquera said: “I’ve been a big fan of Dumas’ work for such a long time. I still remember going to a screening when I first started out and seeing Flowers, I was completely blown away. I remember thinking, ‘This guy really knows how to tell a story.’ The intensity, the emotion, the performances, everything felt so heightened and honest at the same time.
