Production company Lee Films announce the inclusion of Sakari Lerkkanen in its lineup for representation in Spain.
Hailing from Finland and based in London, Lerkkanen has gained international acclaim for his award-winning films and global television commercials. His projects are widely recognised for their distinctive style, characterised by the skilful depiction of raw emotions, iconic imagery, and captivating audiovisual narratives.
In the realm of advertising, Lerkkanen has directed global television commercials, and collaborated with the likes of Sony, Bacardi, Revlon, Hendricks Gin, Flashscore, Petr Cech and Cecilia Braekhus, to name a few. His exceptional work has garnered widespread recognition, being prominently featured and commended by esteemed publications such as Vice, MTV, One Point Four, Director's Note, Shots and David Reviews, among others, and has been honoured with prestigious awards including Effie Grand Prix, Effie Gold, Finnish Music Video Awards Grand Prix, as well as ADC, Golden Drum, Zlato Pecka, EMEA Sabres and Finnish advertising awards recognitions.
Furthermore, he has won the best international young artist of the year award at Venice Biennale Le5Venice and his films have received multiple laurels from Academy Awards and BAFTA-qualifying film festivals.
“Spanish culture has always fascinated me and it has had a profound impact on my work. Since my teenage years, I always had many friends from Latin countries. My very first short film was in Spanish.
