Curate Films announce that acclaimed British filmmaker Dexter Fletcher has joined the company, bringing his distinctive storytelling energy and cinematic flair to the team.

Fletcher, known for his award-winning work on Rocketman, Eddie the Eagle, and Bohemian Rhapsody, marks his first collaboration with Curate Films as he continues to expand into high-end commercial and branded storytelling.

“I’ve always been drawn to stories with heart and authenticity,” said Fletcher. “Curate has a real understanding of how to make brand work cinematic and character-driven, that’s exciting to me. This is a new space for me creatively, and I’m thrilled to dive in with a team that shares my passion for craft.”

The partnership signals Curate’s growing ambition to bridge the worlds of film and advertising, attracting world-class talent to create culturally resonant, story-led campaigns.

“Dexter’s a filmmaker with real range, he brings emotion, humour and humanity to everything he touches,” said Dan Dickenson, Founder of Curate Films. “To have him join Curate and direct his first commercial project with us is an incredible milestone. We can’t wait to show what’s coming next.”

Fletcher’s first project with Curate saw him direct Asda’s 2025 Christmas campaign, created by the agency Lucky Generals. The festive spot enlists the Grinch to spread cheer (and low prices) across the nation - opening with the famously grouchy character lamenting “frightful” prices to the tune of Let It Snow, before he’s ultimately won over by Asda’s unbeatable value and range.

Curate Films, led by Dickenson, continues to build a reputation for high-quality, cinematic storytelling in the commercial space. Curate is continuing to be represented by Lemonade Reps.
