Amsterdam based production company Pink Rabbit has signed director David Eilander to its roster.

Eilander is known for his energetic, character-driven work, in which a sense of wonder, lightness, and a clear influence of contemporary pop culture come together.

In recent years, he has directed numerous commercials for brands including Vodafone, Gall & Gall, Albert Heijn, the Dutch Tax Authority (De Belastingdienst), Ziggo, and Staatsloterij, as well as working extensively abroad, with a focus on Germany.

His first commercial, for Triodos Bank, was immediately awarded a Golden Lamp. “That was already ten years ago,” says Eilander. “Time flies.”

Eilander graduated from the Netherlands Film Academy in 2016 and grew up in the heart of Amsterdam, surrounded by the diverse characters of city life, a big source of inspiration in his work. As a result, his stories often unfold in visually rich, cinematic worlds, with a strong attention to detail and playful human quirks.

On joining Pink Rabbit, Eilander says: “For quite some time now, there’s been a real connection between me and the Pink family. I guess we share the same DNA. Taking this professional step together feels like a natural next move, one I’m really excited about. A new path with great people who make beautiful work.”

According to Niels Visser, Executive Producer, and since last year partner at Pink, the collaboration is a perfect match: “David’s films are bursting with energy and humor. Not only is he a genuinely great person to work with, he also creates the kind of humorous and visually striking work that defines Pink Rabbit.”

With Eilander’s arrival, Pink Rabbit takes yet another step in developing its directing roster. Pink Rabbit Founder Mireille Lampe comments: “Comedy and visually strong storytelling are part of our DNA, and we’re seeing a clear resurgence of that in the market. With David, we’re bringing in a filmmaker who has truly mastered this genre.”

Eilander joins a growing roster that already includes Anna Maria van ’t Hek, Patrick Louwerse, and Olivia Lonsdale. Lampe adds: “The fact that so many exciting directors choose Pink Rabbit confirms we’re heading in the right direction. We are, and will remain, a home for strong creative talent with their hearts in the right place.”
