Electric Theatre Collective have welcomed Toronto-based senior colourist Ana Escorse to their roster for UK and US representation.

Originally from Brazil, Escorse realised her true calling whilst working on set: “It was my first introduction to colour grading and it just resonated.” After immigrating to Canada, she built her grading portfolio at studios including Sim (now Picture Shop), Nice Shoes, Alter Ego and Rodeo FX, before going freelance in 2025.

Throughout her career, she’s garnered a reputation for instinct and a precise eye, trusted by directors including Meji Alabi and R.T. Thorne, amongst others for her approach to colour across commercials, music videos and longform projects. Her reel encompasses global clients across entertainment, fashion, automotive and retail, including Netflix, HBO, Vogue, Mercedes, Pepsi and Nike. But asked what she’s most proud of? “It would have to be Lovezinho, a Brazilian film which won at the FilmLight Colour Awards. I’ve always valued the work that comes out of Brazil, so being a part of that meant a lot.”

Escorse is no stranger to a trophy or two, having also achieved success at the Academy Awards, Tribeca Film Festival, AICP, Berlin Commercial, shots and NOWNESS.

When it comes to the grading suite, Escorse is somewhat of a rebel. “Sometimes, if you want to accomplish something special you have to break some rules.” A self-proclaimed fan of ETC’s colour team from afar, she lists connection and collaboration as a deciding factor for her new creative residency.

Head of Colour Production Olly Whitworth comments: “As we diversify how we present our team, Ana is the perfect addition to our roster: smart, enthusiastic and a real talent. I look forward to introducing her to clients, on UK soil and in the US.”
