The Corner Shop welcome Florence Noble to its roster, she brings her smart, whimsical brand of comedy and understated performance to all of her work.

Advertising is practically in her DNA, the daughter of a creative director, Noble grew up as an ad kid. Before nestling into the director’s chair, she was a copywriter at TBWA in London, Johannesburg and Auckland, sharpening the wit, charm and timing that now fuel her filmmaking.

This morphed into writing, acting and directing comedy sketches, which led to collaborations with Nick Boshier (Bondi Hipsters) and the Emmy-winning 7DaysLater.

Known for her signature deadpan delivery, Noble recently starred in Michael Duignan’s sci-fi comedy, The Paragon, named one of The New York Times’ “Five Sci-Fi Movies to Stream Right Now.”

She has established herself as the next generation of comedy directors in the UK with memorable work for Petits Filous, Premier Inn, Pizza Hut and Tower Insurance already under her belt.

Noble brings this cross-pollinated creative energy to her directing, blending sharp writing, comedic precision and a refreshingly playful spirit.

The Corner Shop’s Anna Hashmi says: “Florence has that special combination of brains, charm and a wicked sense of humour. She knows how to land a joke, build a world and make everyone on set feel like they’re part of something special.” Heather Link says “I’ve had the huge privilege of working with Flo for the last two years, so I know how much fun, energy and laughter she brings to each stage of the process: from the pitch all of the way through to the edit”.

Adds Noble: “My mate Bugs recommended The Corner Shop to me years ago. They were at the top of his list of best prod cos to work with. I’ve always admired their work, and since meeting Anna and the team, I now know why they were at the top of the list. Frothing to get to work!”
