VCCP's Generosity brand platform for Cadbury's has always managed to give a glass and a half of emotion in its executions, but for its seventh year, its latest spot - Memory - might be the most heartstring-tugging of them all.
The film focuses on a daughter who visits her father with dementia and presents him with a hefty Whole Nut bar, only to discover he’s always hated the flavour but lovingly kept it a secret for her happiness.
Directed by Steve Rogers through Biscuit, the film tenderly takes its time in presenting the relationship, aided by a pair of terrific performances and clever writing by CD Simon Connor, embuing the 60 seconds with a lifetime of emotions.
