Blink Productions announce the signing of director Spencer MacDonald.
Born in New York and raised in San Francisco by an oil painter and an architect, MacDonald grew up surrounded by people who looked at the world a little differently. This upbringing continues to shape his work today. With a keen eye for aesthetic details MacDonald’s films are human, visceral and quietly playful, with a sharp eye for the small ironies and unexpected beauty of everyday life.
Now based in Berlin, his work moves naturally between the cinematic and the observational, finding emotion and character in moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed.
He has worked with a diverse range of global clients including Nike, Merrell and the Swiss Tourist Board. His work has also been recognised by Ciclope, The 1.4 Awards and the Webby Awards, as well as featured by The Atlantic, NOWNESS and Vimeo’s Best of the Year.
With a distinctive visual language and a genuine curiosity about people, MacDonald joins Blink’s roster with a body of work that feels both cinematic and deeply human.
