Like many of us in this age of stimulus bombardment, I can’t sit still.

As such, my workspace is often more mindset than physical location, but these are the things that tend to orbit that chaos most frequently.

Do enjoy.

The Notebook

A first point of contact for the day’s work.

I start by cracking this puppy open and listing what’s on the docket.

Sometimes I’ll draw.

I know how to draw two things.

This is one of them.

I’ll leave the other to your dirty, dirty imaginations.

(It’s a palm tree).

The Coffee Shop

The real office.

I find myself here most mornings, sipping a long black and chatting NFL with barista Kim.

I’m practically the mayor of this place and they reward me handsomely with free refills and friendly conversation.

The Dumbo Poster

Apparently, this was swindled from Steven Spielberg’s office by my friend Mux.

By “apparently” I mean he confessed as much.

To be fair to Mux, Steven was reorganising and asked him to put a few things in storage.

My office became the storage.

Which is to say, Steven and I share the same office (spiritually).

Never give up on your dreams.

The Golf Net

Bashing balls into a golf net is my therapy.

You’ll find me here for 15 minutes after about 14 minutes of writing.

You can tell by the ripped-up mat and shoddy net just how powerful I am.

The Emmys

These were won by my wife [Sound Engineer Lindsey Alvarez].

They’re a constant reminder of how far she’s come.

And how far I have to go.

They’re everywhere.
