New addition to the Somesuch roster, Alfie Whiteman, is a director and photographer whose work explores the intersections of culture, identity and community.

A former professional footballer with Tottenham Hotspur, Whiteman channels the discipline of elite sport into the openness of his creative practice.

His film work includes a cinematic short on the World Toe Wrestling Championship for Vibram FiveFingers and Keep The Faith for Baracuta, a movement-driven piece celebrating the Northern Soul community.

As a photographer, Whiteman has shot campaigns for brands including On and Paloma Wool, alongside personal projects that reflect on the overlaps between sport, culture and everyday life. His upcoming solo exhibition A Loan will open at OOF Gallery in 2026, presenting images captured during his 2022 loan spell in rural Sweden. The series explores solitude and introspection through the lens of his time living in an isolated woodland cabin.

Alongside his moving image and photography work, Whiteman also hosts a monthly NTS Radio show, Sweet Tooth.
