Three friends from Watford Advertising School are behind a new film project that aims to lampoon modern news reporting.

Called [It’s Niche That], the project is a comedy series that takes a satirical look at online news documentaries. It was was conceived by Oli Frost and Josephine Shedden, now at AMV BBDO LondonChris Goulder, now represented by Rogue Films, and Dikson Slam.

"You don’t have to be good, but you need to be different. Really different. Preferably totally fucking crazy. But authentic."

In the first episide, released this week, we meet Bob Shipley, who runs the UK's only clothes moth sanctuary.

"We live in a country of makers, thinkers, craftsmen, entrepreneurs, programmers, all following a passion, a dream, a delusion; to bring the world their unique and important thoughts and ideas," says the team. "You don’t have to be good, but you need to be different. Really different. Preferably totally fucking crazy. But authentic. And true. And make great shareable content. That’s what we live for at [It’s Niche That]; the movers, the shakers, the organic, scented candlestick makers. Ideas worth clicking on.

"The irony of [It's Niche That]," they continue, "is creating a series of films to make fun of people's side-hustles, whilst peddling a similarly absurd side hustle ourselves”.

The series will go out on the [It’s Niche That] channel, with a new episode every month.
