It seems you can't win on the internet if you're an influencer, as proven by fitness social star Chessie King in adam&eveDDB's latest campaign for The Cybersmile Foundation.

To highlight the ridiculous demands made by internet trolls, the #TrollingIsUgly campaign was rolled out on her Instagram story.

In it, the star had responded to genuine comments made by her fans, seemingly adapting her body to what they wanted to see.

Eventually, her figure became so distorted that she looked unhuman. No eyebrows, an unrealistic body shape and blown up lips were what King was left with.

Thankfully, all of these modifications had only been artificially made as a way of raising awareness of the harmful effects of online trolling and make people understand just how destructive their online behaviour can be.

"Body image is a huge issue for many people, especially young women," says the foundation's co-founder, Dan Raisbeck. "We hope this campaign encourages people to celebrate their individuality and understand that other people’s judgements do not define them.”

We hope this campaign will help people to understand that they should listen to their body rather than the negative posts that they may receive from naysayers online.
