Having made a name for its silo-smashing, cross-discipline approach to the creative process, bicoastal content agency Los York is now making inroads into the fashion industry by designing its own clothing line.

Inspired by street fashion and 'culture of cool' disciplines, the Los York Label promotes 'like-minded artists and multi-disciplinarians' and launched late last year with a dynamic dance-based film [below] helmed by one of Los York's own directors, Lindsey Byrnes.

Ranging from limited-edition sweatshirts to T-shirts emblazoned with the Los York logo, snapback caps and flight tags, the eco-friendly pieces are aimed at 'global nomads of the arts' and claim to incorporate organic and recycled materials wherever possible. According to the agency, all clothing is sourced from companies using localised manufacturing and recycled/organic textiles, with T-shirts made in a California factory where fabrics can be traced to the farm, embroidery sewn by local businesses in LA, and printing done out of Orange County.

It's not the first time the agency has dipped a toe in the world of fashion: in 2016 it ran a charity competition challenging established and up-and-coming designers to create their own artistic interpretations of the Los York wordmark for T-shirts.
