Technology may have advanced at lightning speed, but it still has its limitations - unlike the human mind, which boasts vast untapped potential. 

In its new campaign for Scandinavian telecoms company Telia, Danish agency Hjaltelin Stahl has focused on people rather than products. Be Limitless is a series of long-form films, centered around the true stories of three remarkable individuals who have beaten the odds and triumphed in their different fields of expertise.

 

 

Bruno [above] tells the backstory of two-time adaptive surfing world champion, Bruno Hansen, who was paralyzed from the waist down in a car accident aged 26. After attempting to take his own life by drowning, a chance encounter made him rediscover his love for the ocean. 

Meanwhile Christina [below] the first film from the trilogy to be released, airing just before this year’s Le Mans race, portrays the first female race driver to win a full season IMSA championship.

 

 

The final film, Ihan, follows an Iraqi refugee child who became an award-winning professional drummer,

 

 

Together, the films aim to prove that the human mind can overcome any adversity, and that the only limitations that exist, are the ones we set for ourselves.

“We, as advertisers and storytellers, can make up any story we want, but sometimes you simply can’t beat the real thing,” say creative team Jabali Ravn and Lasse Vintersbølle.
