A Day In The Life Of Vicky Lawton

10.00: Here’s our morning meeting between the creative and design team in-house at The Full Service. Here we’ve got Julia Salotti, Clara Goodger, Ursula Underhill, Hannah Lee, Imogen Cork, Luke Crawford and me!

We were delighted that the sun was out, so thought we’d brave the dog poo and sit on the grass. I like to start the morning with a round-up of TV reviews and hot celeb gossip. 

12.00: Working our asses off! Kinda. Maybe. Amy James, my TV producer, is pretending to be on the phone. Rushes kindly lent us a space we could work in whilst in Soho doing some other meetings. I’m constantly switching between creative and film director. Many hats. Luckily I can pull off both. Sometimes.

14.00: Next up we’re on the road. Off to Isle of Dogs, never been there before. I was upset, because it wasn’t full of dogs. We are going to recce for a music video I’m directing, and I’m excited to be getting out of the studio, on a location shoot. Mummy, I’ve made it!

15.00: Recce space. The video is for an artist called Charlotte OC - we’ve worked together several times before and she is such an incredible performer. For the track I was looking for a shell, a blank canvas. It fits perfectly for the concept…I don’t remember there being a dinosaur dragon hybrid there though!

19.00: Ooh la la! A night with Coco de Mer (one of our Full Service clients) to celebrate their collaboration with Pamela Anderson. Here’s our gorgeous managing director Maruska Mason and I at the event, we’re slightly distracted by the dancing ladies… I took home a spanking ruler.
