Here's the fifth of a series of video interviews in which freelance producer Sarah Patterson, formerly of TBWAChiatDay LA, discusses the work and influences of some of Ad Land's most famous names.

Previously Patterson has interviewed Danny Clinch, Noam Murro, Jake Scott, Cedric Nicolas-Troyan and Thomas Benski and in this episode she speaks to cinematographer and director, Ellen Kuras.

Kuras, one of the few female members of the American Society of Cinematographers, has worked with Michel Gondry, Spike Lee, Sam Mendes and Martin Scorsese, to name a few, and in 2008 released her acclaimed documentary, The Betrayal, about a Laos immigrant living in New York, which was nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 2009 Academy Awards.
