100% signs Fidelio Faustino
The photographer, director and cinematographer joins the company’s roster for Amsterdam and Paramaribo representation.
Director Fidelio Faustino has joined 100% for representation, working between Amsterdam and Paramaribo.
Faustino’s practice blends Afro-Caribbean and Indigenous perspectives with contemporary image-making. His work spans photography, cinematography and directing, often rooted in culture, spirituality and memory. His portraits and films focus on intimacy while addressing identity, representation and belonging.
“We first met Fidelio through the sQuare accelerator program in Amsterdam, and right away we were amazed by his sharp creative vision and the way he moves so effortlessly between film and photography,” said Alessandro Tomasi, Talent Agent at 100%. “It was clear from the start that he has this rare gift for capturing stories in a way that feels elegant, poetic and authentic. At such a young age, Fidelio has already found his own, unique and recognisable voice. We can’t wait to collaborate on exciting commercial and fashion campaigns together.”
Faustino’s work has been recognised internationally, with multiple selections in PhotoVogue “Best of” and “Pic of the Day” features. He was named one of PhotoVogue’s 100 top Latin American talents, exhibiting at the PhotoVogue Festival in Milan, and was recently included in SO’25: Selection of Dutch Photography. His collaborations span commercial, institutional and artistic partners including New Balance, The New Originals, Naomi Sharon, FOAM, Dezeen, NRC Magazine and the Open Space Contemporary Art Museum.
“I shape a visual language born from the community itself, a way of seeing that resists the outside gaze and reclaims how we choose to be remembered,” said Faustino. “I’m grateful to now continue this journey with 100%, joining a family that believes in the power of community.”
Beyond his own practice, Faustino has contributed to community and mentorship programmes, including Voetbalcultuur in West and MAQAM, where he co-led workshops for young photographers culminating in a public exhibition. His upcoming exhibition Tapsei will open at FOAM in Amsterdam, showcasing work from Suriname.
