Director Craig Moore returns to music videos with a visually charged new film for Vanco ft Deela’s latest release, Repeat.
Repeat is a hypnotic underground dance piece shot in Johannesburg that blends fashion, movement and cinematic texture into a bold celebration of South African culture.
Best known for his work with global artists including Wizkid, Dua Lipa, Tinie Tempah and Nile Rodgers, Moore brings his signature choreography-driven visual language back to home soil for his first music video with a South African artist.
Created in collaboration with Disturbing London, the film transforms an underground club into a cinematic arena of rhythm, tension and atmosphere. Using chess motifs and stark black-and-white styling throughout, Moore explores the chemistry between opposing dance crews, creating a world that feels gritty, intimate and elevated all at once.
Working alongside Director of Photography Fabian Vettiger, Moore leaned into expressive spotlighting, layered textures and wide-angle lenses to immerse viewers directly into the chaos and energy of the dance floor.

“I wanted to blend fashion and culture into scene impressions that lifted the video out of the ordinary and shaped the imagination of what an underground club could be,” says Moore. “Fabian and I spoke a lot about how we could create texture through lenses and lighting. We shot much of the dancing on wide-angle lenses and used spotlights to create more intimate impressions and moments within the chaos.”
Producer Godfrey Matsika describes the project as “an amazing experience” despite the constraints of a tight budget. “We managed to pull together incredible locations, an amazing crew and talented dancers that truly brought the vision to life,” he says. “Collaborating with clients Dumi Oburota and Uchenna Ubawuchi was an absolute pleasure, they were both a dream to work with and made the entire experience even more rewarding.”
Rooted proudly in Johannesburg, the video opens with Zulu dialogue and subtitles, grounding the visual identity firmly in Vanco’s hometown while giving the film an authentic cultural heartbeat.
With Repeat, Moore delivers a stylish return to the music video space. Merging dance, fashion and South African identity into a visually immersive new work that reinforces his reputation as one of the country’s most globally recognised visual storytellers.
