Mwazange joins from BBH, as Production & Partnerships Lead she brings a multidisciplinary background spanning advertising, the government and charity sectors, alongside her own creative work.
The Hogan has appointed Valentina Mwazange as Production & Partnerships Lead as the independent music house continues to grow its team.
In the newly created role, Mwazange will focus on strengthening and developing The Hogan’s relationships with agencies, brands and the wider creative community. She will also work closely across The Hogan’s music supervision and creative teams, helping to shape and produce the company’s own output around its core practice.
Mwazange’s route to The Hogan has been anything but linear. Before moving into advertising, she worked across government and the charity sector, later building her production career at BBH. Alongside that work, she has developed her own practice as an artist and host, bringing together people and ideas through her work and industry panel talks.
Joseph Ogunmokun, Managing Director at The Hogan, said: “We’ve never been especially interested in making the obvious hire. We want The Hogan to keep evolving, and that means bringing in people with different perspectives, instincts and ways of seeing what might come next. Valentina does that.
“She’s instinctively curious and energised by bringing people together. Relationships matter, of course, but they only really mean something if you understand the people and the work.”
Lee Pavey, Vice President at The Hogan, added: “The company has changed a lot over the last few years, but the ambition behind it hasn’t. As the work has grown, we’ve had to think just as carefully about the kind of team we build around it. Valentina adds real depth to how we think about the business.”
Mwazange said: “The Hogan has been on my radar for a long while. I’d always thought there was something distinctive about the way they work; time and again, the work has backed that up. For me, this feels like the right moment to start bringing the different skills I’ve picked up along the way together. I’m truly elated to now be part of the team - and part of the push from here.
“I’ve seen things from a few different sides, so I tend to spot opportunities or connections that might be less obvious. I’m here to future-proof The Hogan and cement the trust people have in us. I want to build with intention.”
