The Norwegian airline Widerøe recently made two commercials with Morgenstern centered around Americans and Danes in Norway doing tourist things, exactly as their stereotypes would suggest.

Directed by Øyvind Holtmonand produced by Bacon, the films hit all the right spots for both cultures. The American couple arrives ready. Ready for merch, hot dogs, art, sightseeing, and all the most authentic things - no matter how strange they are.

The Danes, meanwhile, are armed with confidence. The kind that says of course we should do mountain biking on the rocks, rafting in the wrong direction, and hiking into terrains only friendly to goats. They believe in extreme sports. Extreme sports in Norway do not believe in them.

Americans look for authenticity and Danes look for challenges. Both get exactly what they came for. Politics aside, the one thing 300,000 Americans and 150,000 Danes can agree on is that a vacation in Norway is definitely worth it.
