Global creative powerhouse Untold Studios announces the appointment of Ben Hampshire as executive director, marking the latest chapter in the company’s rapid evolution and growth.

Based in their newly expanded Culver City studio, Hampshire will take on a leadership role, driving forward Untold’s design-led production and visual effects capabilities, and shaping the next era of technology and GenAI-enabled creative output.

A seasoned leader across the US and UK, Hampshire brings a proven track record of building enduring relationships with the world’s best brands, agencies, directors and creatives. He began his career in the British film industry before moving into VFX at The Mill in London. He later launched and led The Mill’s Los Angeles studio as managing director, growing it from 25 to over 250 people and transforming it into the market leader. Most recently, he co-founded award-winning automotive content production hub Carnage Films and its GenAI-powered division, Carnage Intelligence.

“There’s a saying that there’s the place you’re born, and then there’s the place you feel you belong,” shares Hampshire. “California has always been that place for me. Joining Untold here feels less like a new chapter and more like coming home. This isn’t just a new role; it’s a reunion with a group of people I trust deeply and an opportunity to build something meaningful with a team that leads with creativity, technology, and a commitment to culture, all while providing thoughtful solutions for our clients. I’m honoUred to be part of Untold. It’s full of inspiring people doing amazing work, and that connection means everything.”

Hampshire’s arrival comes as Untold cements its place as a global creative force, with studios in London, Los Angeles, Toronto and Mumbai. The studio’s portfolio spans acclaimed work across VFX, motion design, production and music. Since launching in 2018, Untold has already garnered Emmy, Grammy, BAFTA and VES recognition, delivering standout work with world-class brands and artists including Amazon, Apple, Disney, Pringles, TikTok, PlayStation, Adele, Billie Eilish and complex sequences for titles including The Crown, Mission: Impossible, The Lord of the Rings, and The Boys. In 2025 alone, Untold delivered five complex Super Bowl campaigns, further establishing its reputation as a go-to creative partner for the world’s biggest stages.

“Ben is a true connector, his passion is infectious, his energy boundless, and his experience second to none,” says Rochelle Palmer, managing director and co-founder of Untold Studios. “What makes him such a natural fit is his unwavering belief in the values we live by: creating outstanding work with outstanding people. I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Ben to Untold. He joins at an incredibly exciting moment for the studio, and I know he’ll play a pivotal role in what comes next.”

As the industry continues to undergo tectonic shifts, the business of the future requires strong leadership, bold creative vision and a robust technology backbone to thrive as the creative partners of tomorrow. Untold Studios is leading that charge, and with Hampshire’s strategic vision, creative firepower and deep client relationships, Untold is perfectly positioned to help shape the future.
