Tinygiant announces their latest signing of Oscar-nominated director Kevin Wilson Jr. Following previous representation with Little Minx and Chelsea Pictures, Wilson joins Tinygiant as they continue expanding their internationally recognised roster of talent - reflecting their growing reputation as a creative home for some of the industry's most distinctive directing voices.

Wilson first gained international recognition with My Nephew Emmett, his Academy Award-nominated short film inspired by the true story of Emmett Till's 1955 murder. Premiering at festivals including the New York Film Festival, Telluride and HollyShorts, the film established him as one of the most compelling new voices in the industry, earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Live Action Short Film alongside honours from the Directors Guild of America, BAFTA and the Student Academy Awards.

Since moving into the commercial space, he has brought the same emotional depth and unique craft to campaigns for global brands including McDonald's, Marvel, Meta, and Crown Royal. His landmark Procter & Gamble campaign Widen The Screen, which challenged stereotypical portrayals of Black people in film and television, premiered during the NAACP Image Awards and the Academy Awards before earning a Silver Cannes Lion, AICP Best New Director and multiple D&AD Pencils. The campaign is now part of the permanent collection at New York's Museum of Modern Art.

“Filmmaking has always been about community for me. After meeting Sara and Veronica, I knew rather quickly that I wanted to be part of their community of incredibly talented and ambitious artists and producers. Tinygiant has built a reputation for championing directors with distinctive voices, and from the beginning it felt like the right creative home for me in my career. I'm excited to join their roster and start creating work across features and commercials that are both meaningful and visually ambitious.” said Wilson Jr.

Alongside his commercials, Wilson continues to build an impressive long-form portfolio, most recently directing episodes of Netflix's Chef's Table and UNTOLD: The Rise and Fall of AND1. His ability to work seamlessly across both formats with the same credibility makes him the perfect fit for Tinygiant, who consistently champion both divisions with equal excellence.

“We have been a huge fan of Kevin’s work for a long time. His commercial work feels filmic and real, like the work you’d expect from an Oscar nominee! His strength of character and dedication to craft come through in everything he creates. He’s a remarkable filmmaker and we’re looking forward to our future full of possibilities together.” said Sara Eolin, Partner and Executive Producer.

Wilson Jr.'s addition reflects Tinygiant's continued investment in distinctive talent across both features and commercials, strengthening the company's diverse roster with a critically acclaimed director whose diverse portfolio work is deeply human and resonates with a breadth of audiences.
