The Progress Film Company announce the arrival of London based filmmaker Carly Cussen.
Director Carly Cussen cut her teeth in the industry sneaking onto film sets pretending to be a runner at age 16.
Since then, she’s gone on to direct show-stopping promos for some of the music world’s biggest stars, from Ed Sheeran to Missy Elliot.After helming some of the most iconic videos in the gritty, burgeoning Grime scene, Cussen was determined to conquer the pop world.
Her 15 year career has seen her create innovative new ways to capture artists - from building unique, moving sets to setting up completely bespoke camera rigs, and led her to a number of award-winning promos for the likes of Little Mix, Stefflon Don and Krept & Konan.
Using the music world to practise and refine a range of cutting edge styles, Cussen now directs commercial work for world leading brands from Disney to Samsung, delighting clients and winning major industry awards along the way.
Of joining The Progress Film Company, Cussen says: “The best part of 2021 has been signing with Progress. The second best part will be planning the year ahead!”
