Creative directors Pedro Sattin and Sébastien Rouvière have joined TBWA\Media Arts Lab in Los Angeles, reporting to Executive Creative Directors Greg Greenberg and Saulo Rocha.

Originally from Brazil and France, respectively, Sattin and Rouvière bring experience across Latin America, Europe and North America, with previous roles at DAVID New York, DAVID Madrid, LOLA, LePub, Publicis Conseil and Wieden+Kennedy.

Greenberg says: “Pedro and Seb are the best kind of creatives. Their work is driven by craft, brash, loud and gets noticed in culture. Yet they are genuine, humble and free of ego. They have jumped in headfirst at MAL and are already shaping work for Apple with their unique voices and perspectives.”

Together, the pair have won more than 400 awards across major advertising shows. Their partnership developed across Madrid and New York, where they built teams and created work in environments that were new to both of them.

Sattin says: “Seb and I come from pretty different backgrounds, but we realized early on that we had very similar instincts and a lot of the same expectations of ourselves. That was especially true with the work: what we liked, what we didn’t, and how far something needed to go. Over time, that’s given us a real shorthand and the trust to be completely honest with each other.”

Rouvière adds: “A big part of our partnership was built by creating things together in places that were new to both of us, first Madrid and then New York. Building teams and trying to make work that mattered in two different cultures taught us how to adapt to a new environment without losing what we believed made the work good. I think going through that together made us much better partners, and Media Arts Lab feels like a great next chapter.”

At MAL, the pair will bring that experience and shared creative ambition to their work for Apple.

Rocha adds: “Pedro and Seb are no one-hit wonders. They’ve consistently created groundbreaking work for different brands, at different agencies and across different continents. Their unique talent and relentless hunger for great ideas make them a perfect match for helping us shape the future of the world’s most iconic brand.”
