Stept Studios adds Warner Shaw to commercial roster
The director, editor and VFX artist signs with the company for branded and commercial projects.
A recent addition to the Stept Studios roster sees director Warner Shaw sign for commercial representation.
Shaw is known for combining cinematic storytelling with post-production expertise, drawing on experience as both an editor and VFX artist. His portfolio includes work for Apple, Netflix, Nike and AMD, with recognition from the Emmys, Webbys, Clio Awards and Cannes Lions. A former college football quarterback from Hawai‘i, he brings both discipline and imagination to his directing.
Recent highlights include Oakley’s campaign announcing its partnership with Axiom Space and NASA, which combined cinematic craft with advanced VFX to frame product innovation in an emotionally resonant way. Shaw also directed Oakley’s 2025 NFL campaign featuring wide receiver Justin Jefferson and flag football player Diana Flores.
“At Stept, we recognise and value directors who think beyond the lens,” said Joe Biggins, Managing Director of Commercials at Stept. “Warner is a perfect example of that. His background in editing and VFX isn’t just additive - it allows him to problem-solve creatively and technically in ways that enhance every project. He’s a rare talent, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him on board.”
“I am so excited to be joining the Stept roster,” said Shaw. “I’ve followed Stept’s work for years, and it has always stood out to me. With my background in film and sports - and where I see my directing career going - it feels like the perfect home.”
