Rabbits Black, the media and entertainment company connecting advertising, film, music and entertainment has announced the release of Midland at Ahuestern, a mini documentary directed by Cooper Gunn Davis.

The film captures country trio Midland's headlining set at the Ahuestern Country Fest in Nuevo León, Monterrey, Mexico, where they performed for one of the largest crowds of their Mexico run this year. The film is executive produced by Ryan Hawkins, Mike Bergin and Ronnie Exley of Rabbits Black.

"I wanted to shoot this the way the audience actually found this music – direct, unfiltered, no gatekeeper standing between them and it," said Gunn Davis, Director. "Releasing it the same way felt obvious. Releasing it on Vimeo and seeing it on the feeds, that's where the people who showed up in Monterey were already watching."

"Cooper doesn't just point a camera at a stage and call it a concert film," said Ryan Hawkins, Co-Executive Producer at Rabbits Black. "He was down there to capture why 22,000 people showed up, not just that they did. That's the difference between documentation and a film, and it's exactly why we wanted this one to carry his name."

As noted by Billboard in a recent feature, Midland's performance at the festival comes amid a broader cultural wave of American country music finding new audiences across the border, fuelled increasingly by streaming and social platforms in addition to traditional country radio.
