What’s the best music video you’ve seen recently and why?

Miike Snow - Genghis Khan directed by Ninian Doff.

It's a comedy spin on a vintage James Bond theme, genius.

What’s the first music video you remember being impressed by?

Arctic Monkeys - Leave Before The Lights Come On

It was the first narrative video I remember taking note of thanks to brilliant performances from Paddy Considine and Kate Ashfield.

What other directors/artists do you look to for inspiration?

Guy Ritchie, Michel Gondry, collaborations between Warren Fu & The Strokes.

What are you listening to at the moment?

I’ve been getting back into Oasis recently, nostalgic greatness.

What’s your favourite bit of tech, whether for professional or personal use?

Currently, the Elizabeth line.

What artist(s) would you most like to work with and why?

I've probably listened to Beach Fossils more than any other band, so that might be fitting.

How do you feel the promo industry has changed since you started in it?

Edit schedules have become shorter, which I don’t mind.

Where do you see the music video industry being in five years’ time?

I thought 3D was going to kick off, so I might be wrong but I think people are going to continue to creatively approach music videos, explore past film making techniques and come up with some new ones.

Tell us one thing about yourself that most people won’t know…

I once tried to get everyone in a club to lie down on the floor when Radiohead - Just came on, like in the video. Only my mates and I did it, which looked a bit silly.
