What’s the best music video you’ve seen recently and why?
London Alley videos excluded, I really loved Ed Sheeran - 2Step video. Always been a fan of Henry Scholfield’s work. Love that the concept is simple, focuses on the artists, while keeping interesting and refreshing throughout the whole video.
So many times you see over the top FX, or all these added elements in videos that are used as a crutch and actually take away from the artist's performance - this one supports them nicely.

The first music video I ever saw was R.E.M. - Losing My Religion.
The first video I really loved in my adult life probably was All American Rejects - Move Along directed by Marc Webb. I was a bit of a scene kid, and when I started diving into music videos I was a sucker for anything with interesting camera tricks or creative ways to shoot a performance.

Christopher Nolan, Ian Pons Jewell, Oscar Hudson, Calmatic, Adam McKay and Dave Free off the top of my head, but many more.
What are you listening to at the moment?
My Spotify is the most random mix of early 2000s Emo bands, old school hip hop, house music, and Olivia Rodrigo.
What’s your favourite bit of tech, whether for professional or personal use?
Web3! Currently for personal use / investing, but the opportunities we are exploring for the company within the space is beyond exciting! More on that soon.

How do you feel the promo industry has changed since you started in it?
People actually care about it. And they care a lot! I always say that when I started London Alley in 2008/2009, I bought in when the stock was low. This was that weird period after Napster, before Vevo and streaming, and you throw in a housing crisis, it wasn’t a wonderful time to start a music video production company.
But since then, we have seen pretty insane growth as an industry, not only the size of the budgets that artists are getting, but just the overall interest and impact on culture that videos have.
Some of the most viewed videos on the internet are music videos, brands are more involved than ever in music videos and I don’t see that changing any time soon.
Tell us one thing about yourself that most people won’t know…
I played college baseball until I quit to start shooting surf videos, which eventually led to doing what I do today. (Thankfully, or else I would have some pretty upset parents I'm sure)
