With the stars and taco moons perfectly aligned, Old El Paso is treating the moment with full fanfare, encouraging fans to prepare for Taco Totality and celebrate in the only fitting way, by eating Old El Paso tacos.

Brought to life by Martin, the campaign unfolds across social with mock scientist Randy Havens (of Stranger Things) breaking down the playful “science” behind Taco Totality. In full experiment mode, he treats the event like a once-in-a-lifetime cosmic phenomenon, explaining what it means for taco lovers everywhere and the essential gear needed to fully experience it, like eclipse style accessories and (of course) plenty of Old El Paso tacos.

The campaign also includes a dedicated microsite with a countdown to when Cinco de Mayo and Taco Tuesday align. From April 21 to April 26, fans can enter a giveaway on the site to win Taco Totality gear inspired by eclipse viewing kits. The items are designed for the ultimate taco experience, including a stain resistant shirt, onion chopping safety glasses, and a neck pillow for better taco eating posture, all “scientifically engineered” for peak taco enjoyment.
