Nexus Studios welcome visionary director and collage artist Alice Isaac to its commercial roster.

Known for her daring visual storytelling and seamless fusion of analogue craft and modern design, Isaac is redefining collage for the digital age, delivering bold, premium aesthetics that push beyond traditional expectations.

Isaac’s unconventional journey into filmmaking, spanning fashion, SFX makeup artistry, and animation production, informs her boundary-pushing approach to motion and design. A self-taught animator with a strong grounding in tactile composition, she crafts captivating visuals that blur the lines between physical collage and digital animation. Her signature style is bold, refined, and emotionally resonant.

Her talent has already attracted the attention of leading global brands, with standout campaigns for Nike, Adidas, Converse, Hulu, BBC, Netflix, Spotify, The FA, and Prada. Most notably, Isaac’s genre-defining 3D animated collages for the Mercury Prize set a new benchmark in visual experimentation and storytelling.

“I'm beyond excited to be joining Nexus Studios as a director,” says Isaac. “They have been a total North Star for progressive creativity in the world of animation, and it is an honour to now be a part of that.” Isaac’s arrival at Nexus Studios aligns with the studio’s ethos of supporting craft-driven, visionary directors who defy convention and challenge the status quo.

“We’re excited to welcome Alice Isaac to the Nexus Studios roster,” said Chris O’Reilly, Co-Founder and CCO at Nexus Studios. “Her work embodies a fearless approach to image-making and motion, blending the tactile and the digital with a distinctive sense of play and precision. We look forward to the surprising and original perspectives she’ll bring.” With Isaac on board, Nexus Studios further cements its reputation as a home for trailblazing talent and genre-expanding creative voices across animation, mixed media, and design-led storytelling.
