Moxie Pictures announce the signing of award-winning director Najeeb Tarazi for exclusive representation in the United States.
Known for his fusion of innovative filmmaking techniques and emotionally resonant storytelling, Tarazi’s addition to the Moxie roster underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting boundary-pushing, visionary talent.
A Harvard University graduate with a degree in physics, Tarazi began his creative career at Pixar Animation Studios, serving as a technical director on films such as Toy Story 3 and Monsters University. This foundation in animation and computer graphics laid the groundwork for a directorial voice that is both technically masterful and deeply human.
Tarazi’s 2023 breakout short film One More Try earned five Vimeo Staff Picks and the platform’s coveted “Best of the Year” badge. Described by Tony Hawk as “mesmerizing,” “masterful,” and “brilliant chaos,” the skate film also won an ADC Merit Award in Film Craft. His viral music video Home for My Heart further showcased his storytelling sensitivity through emotionally intimate portraits and innovative portal-style edits.
Tarazi’s work often blends technological experimentation with personal, narrative-driven filmmaking. His SXSW-selected short Walk the Walk was inspired by the photo collages of David Hockney, while his debut music video Another Love was among the first to use volumetric video, coded independently using Microsoft Kinect cameras.
In addition to his narrative work, Tarazi has created standout content for major brands and figures such as Uber, Microsoft, Snap, AC/DC, and Tony Hawk, bringing his technical expertise and distinct visual language to every project. He holds two patents in computer graphics and continues to push the boundaries of cinematic form across commercials, branded content, and music videos.
