For Kode and Max Fisher, the partnership represents a strong creative alignment and a shared view of where advertising and filmmaking are heading. They share an ambition to push commercial filmmaking forward through a modern production approach.

Known for his cinematic, performance-led filmmaking and instinct for authentic human storytelling, Fisher's films are rooted in observation, uncovering humour, natural beauty and emotional truth in everyday life. With a background in long-form documentary filmmaking, his work often feels discovered rather than constructed, blending crafted visual storytelling with spontaneity, behaviour and authentic human connection.

Jack Goodwin, Founder and Executive Producer at Kode, said: “We’ve been fans of Max’s work for a long time, so this feels like a hugely significant signing for Kode. In our opinion, Max is the best in the industry at what he does. At Kode, we have always wanted to build a company where we move fluidly between traditional advertising, social, culture-led work and direct-to-client collaborations. Upon meeting, we felt there was a real alignment with where Max wants to take his work next. We’re incredibly excited to partner with Max and open up new ways of making work together.”

Speaking on joining Kode, Fisher said: “The Kode team and I just clicked immediately. They are real go-getters whose hustle and energy inspires and excites me. We share that attitude of going after it constantly, and I love that they are as excited to sign me as I am to join.”

Fisher continues “Kode understands how much the industry is changing and really embraces different ways of making and developing work. For me, it felt like the right moment to step into something new. There’s a shared ambition to make work that feels human, relevant and emotionally honest, which is ultimately what I care most about.”

Fisher has been awarded a Cannes Lions Grand-Prix, along with many other top awards, but ultimately his filmmaking is defined by a grass roots approach to the people he works with. His approach to the work is shaped by his many years spent working as a youth worker and then a documentary film maker. Life experiences continue to inform the empathy and emotional realism running throughout his work.
