KODE Photo has appointed Imogen O’Reilly as Photo Agent, strengthening its photography division with an experienced photo agent and new business specialist whose career spans artist representation, international business development, communications and production.
O’Reilly joins from Making Pictures, where she has spent the past two years representing and developing photographers across advertising, editorial and branded content. Alongside artist representation, she has led new business outreach across the UK, Europe and North America working with agencies such as VML, BBDO, Grey NYC and Uncommon NYC.
Central to O’Reilly’s approach is artist development: working closely with photographers on positioning, portfolios and long-term career strategy, while identifying and nurturing emerging talent.
O’Reilly said: “What initially drew me to this industry was a love of photography, but what has kept me here is the opportunity to champion talented photographers and help them build meaningful careers. I also love getting out into the industry, meeting people and making meaningful connections.
“What really attracted me to KODE is the combination of such strong creative talent with an incredible production offering behind it. There’s a huge opportunity to build on what KODE Photo has already established, develop the roster thoughtfully and introduce its photographers to an even wider creative community.”
O’Reilly joins at a pivotal point for KODE Photo. Launched 18 months ago, the division was created to bring together artist representation and KODE’s established end-to-end production expertise. In that time KODE and their photographers have delivered campaigns for Rag + Bone, Revolut, Asics, The National Trust and Red Bull.
Chris Sutherland, Head of Photo at Kode said: “Imogen has a real eye for talent, cares deeply about photographers and their careers, and has the energy and commercial instinct to create opportunities for them. Just as importantly, she understands production and what clients need to turn an idea into great work.”
“We’ve achieved a huge amount with KODE Photo in its first 18 months, but we’re still at the beginning of what we want to build. Imogen joining gives us the ability to be even more ambitious: to give our photographers greater support, discover and develop new voices, build relationships with more of the world’s best creative teams and continue making brilliant work. We couldn’t be more excited to have her on board.”
