London based Luxenberg creates images steeped in warm nostalgia, channeling the mood and texture of the 1980s and shifting the dynamic of vulnerability by capturing the souls of her subjects with intimacy. Luxenberg works commercially across music, fashion, documentary and portraiture with a strong focus on narrative through movement and creative use of light.
Her clients include Prada, Adidas, LVMH, Vogue, Nike, Audemars Piguet, Fila, Net a Porter, Universal Music, Uniqlo and Audi, and her subjects include Central Cee, Erling Haaland, Pa Salieu, Stormzy, Loyle Carner, Oasis, Mark Ronson, David Alaba and George Russell. Luxenberg’s series Touching Ground, which she created with skater RonnieWTF, tells the story of Medellín’s rebirth through the eyes of its skateboarding community, and is a love letter to the city to which she’s had close ties for eight years (and where she also lives part time).
Featured in Dazed, Hypebeast, The Face, Pause magazine and WePresent, it’s a sprawling project that spans photography, film, and more. In Touching Ground skateboarding becomes a symbol of willingness to stand up to danger and uncertainty; “an opportunity to reframe fear and face it,” Luxenberg explains.
Last year saw the London exhibition of In Power, a deeply personal series of eight short films that Luxenberg sums up as “the fragility of power” a constant negotiation between empowerment and precarity in women’s lives. Shot across two days, they span thorny subjects from fertility to childhood emotional neglect, and how that can manifest in adult behaviours. The immersive exhibition was heightened via an ambient soundtrack by Baby Reindeer composer Nathan Coen and London jazz legend Mackwood.
Says Luxenberg: “If I can contribute one tiny moment where people stop and look at something, and think of something differently, then I’ve done my job. I want to cut through the noise. I want to encourage people to look harder. The more you look, the more you see.”
Luxenberg’s music videos have been awarded at Cannes World Film Festival, Plot Twist, Grito Montenegro, Thin Line and Faro Concurso de Cinema, and nominated multiple times at UKMVA, Aesthetica and Hollyshorts, among others.

Luxenberg adds: “When I met the Knucklehead team I immediately felt at home and part of the family, which is a rare feeling after eight years as an independent director. I’m incredibly excited to amplify my personal projects and to see where this journey takes us.”
