Kat Downs named joint managing director at Darling Films
Already a force as executive producer and head of new business, Downs will now bring her commercial savvy and creative firepower to the management team.
Darling Films announce Kat Downs as joint managing director alongside owners and managing directors Kelly Doyle Montejo and Clare Timms.
Already a force as executive producer and head of new business, Downs will now bring her commercial savvy and creative firepower to the management team, without stepping away from the role that’s helped shape Darling’s standout trajectory.
Throughout her 10 years at the company, Downs has played a central role in expanding Darling’s client base, nurturing new creative voices, and elevating the company’s profile across the industry. Her ability to blend strategic thinking with a genuine passion for talent and storytelling has been integral to the company’s growth, making her a natural fit for this role at the helm.
“Kat’s a rare mix of sharp instinct, big-picture thinking, and unshakeable drive,” said Kelly Doyle Montejo, owner and managing director at Darling Films.
“She’s been a key part of our success, and this move sets the stage for an even bolder future.”
Downs added: “Darling is all about collaborating, and I love being part of that energy. Stepping into the managing director role means I get to help steer where we go next, while still doing what I love: building the relationships that make great work happen.”
