The independent creative agency Joint, based in London, has announced a new leadership team to drive growth for the next decade and beyond.

Matthew Robinson is promoted to Chief Executive Officer, Algy Sharman to Chief Creative Officer and Rowenna Prest to Chief Strategy Officer.

Joint was founded in 2012 and founders Damon Collins, Richard Exon and Lori Meakin will hand over the day-to-day running of the business with immediate effect whilst continuing to support the new leadership team and nurture key client relationships.

Joint’s founders said: “We can’t think of a better way to celebrate an incredible decade of growth than by appointing Matthew, Algy and Rowenna to lead our business for the next ten years and beyond.

“We want to ensure that the best people are at the helm of Joint and they have demonstrated time and again they have what it takes to push the business forward.”

Having a seamless succession plan with three such proven leaders is great news for Joint, our teams and our clients.

Robinson joined Joint in 2016 as a Partner, having previously held roles at AMV BBDO, Weapon 7, Anomaly and Saatchi & Saatchi. Since then he has helped Joint win accounts such as Uswitch, Amazon Prime and Kettle Chips amongst others.

“Joint is packed with incredibly talented people and we have just had one of our best years both creatively and commercially. It is an honour to be taking on this role and working alongside Rowenna and Algy, I am so excited about what Joint is going to achieve in the years ahead.”

Sharman, joined Joint in 2015 and as Partner has led on clients including Amazon Prime, Amazon Alexa, Kettle Chips, Uswitch and Fox’s Sweets. He previously had roles at BBH, RKCR/Y&R and Mother.

Over the last 12 months he has overseen the “Prime Changes Everything” campaign including the “Rapunzel” and “Medusa” films.

Sharman said: “At Joint I’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with some of the best creatives in the industry, and together we’ve delivered outstanding work for our clients. This next chapter with Matthew and Rowenna is going to be a blast.”

Prest, who returns from parental leave in May, joined Joint as Group Strategy Director in 2017. She has overseen the strategy for a number of businesses including TSB, Vue, Amazon Web Services and Reach PLC. Previously she has held roles at AMV BBDO, BBH, RKCR/Y&R and Lowe.

She said: “Damon, Rich and Lori founded something really special in Joint and it’s testament to them that the agency still has so much more potential.  I can’t wait to work with Algy and Matthew to help unleash it.”
