Jake Dyson signs with Common People Films
The director and photographer has signed for representation across the UK, Europe and the MENA region.
Common People Films has welcomed director and photographer Jake Dyson to its roster and will represent him across the UK, Europe and the MENA region.
Dyson is known for his creativity, vision and extensive experience — particularly in the automotive industry — which Common People says shines through in his work.
During the pandemic, Dyson began exploring photography alongside honing his filmmaking craft, uncovering a talent and passion for on-set stills that quickly gained recognition. His work ranges from National Geographic campaigns to major commercial projects for brands like Bentley, Nissan and the US Army. His ability to blend technical precision with a flair for raw, emotional storytelling has earned him widespread acclaim in the industry.
“I’ve always been drawn to the visual language of storytelling,” Dyson said. “Whether through the lens of a film camera or a stills camera, my goal has always been to create images that make people stop, think and feel. Joining Common People Films is a massive opportunity to expand my creative horizons and collaborate with some of the most talented people in the industry.”
From photographing celebrities in -40°C Arctic conditions to capturing Code Red vehicles in 110°F desert heat, Dyson brings boundless creative energy to the campaigns he works on and, says Common People, "his creative eye for deliverables is matched by his knack for capturing timeless, candid moments on the fringes of each shoot."
Recent highlights of Dyson's work include campaigns for Nissan, shot in Chile and Utah, as well as a forthcoming documentary set in the foothills of the Himalayas. “I was first introduced to Jake by a good friend on Canada’s west coast and was blown away by the beauty he creates when shooting cars," said Common People's Co-Founder, Tony Roberts. "We then had the opportunity to collaborate on Bentley together, and I was not only impressed by his creativity and technical ability but also by the fact that he’s an all-around brilliant individual. We’re very excited about this signing and are confident he’ll do incredibly well on this side of the pond and in the MENA region.”
