Innocean promotes Alessia Bellini to general manager
Bellini will take over the leadership over the German business, after six years at Innocean covering Europe as client service director.
Innocean strengthens its leadership by promoting Alessia Bellini to General Manager. She will oversee the German business operation, reporting directly to President and CEO Sam Ryu.
During her six-year tenure at Innocean, Bellini played a central role in shaping the agency’s European automotive business. She joined in 2019, taking leadership of the Kia Europe business. Working closely with CCO Gabriel Mattar, she played a central role in elevating the brand’s creative ambition and presence across the region. Her impact was visible in the work and in the partnership, shaping both the ideas and the way they were made. Her leadership, consistency and instinct for the work, led to her promotion at the beginning of 2024 as Client Service Director Europe, working later in the year with COO Susanne Plümecke. In this role, Bellini has overseen the full Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis portfolio, driving integrated communications while helping deliver some of Innocean's most awarded recent campaigns,
including Kia Soundscapes, Inspiring Billboards, and Kia Instrument. These achievements were paralleled with a number of operational improvements to adapt to a changing market environment and rapidly evolving client needs, removing silos, optimising EU-local communication and contributing to strengthen market governance.
With her deep expertise spanning both client insights and Innocean's operations, she is uniquely positioned to lead the German business. In her new role, she will focus on fostering a strong, purpose-driven culture and building a highly efficient, well-structured organisation, while continuously elevating the quality of services delivered to German clients.
Her appointment highlights Innocean's dedication to strengthening its footprint in the German market. With a continued focus on its leadership structure, the agency is fostering creativity, enhancing operational clarity, and driving growth, positioning itself to deliver even greater value to all its client’s portfolio.
Before joining Innocean, Bellini built a remarkable two-decade career at leading international agencies, working at the intersection of creativity, complexity, and automotive transformation. She began at Leo Burnett Italy, where she helped steering pan-European campaigns and gained extensive experience managing brands across borders, cultures, and markets. She later moved to Leo Burnett Germany, overseeing several Stellantis brands in the German market. There, she developed a deep understanding of large-scale automotive ecosystems and earned a reputation for navigating complex operational challenges without ever compromising strategic clarity across multi-market automotive portfolios.
Bellini said about her new role: “I’m excited to lead Innocean Germany into its next chapter. As a strong believer in leading with clarity, purpose, and creativity, I see this as an opportunity to shape something meaningful, grounded in operational clarity, rooted in creative excellence, and centred on empowered teams. After all, strong ideas and strong people are at the heart of every lasting success.”
Plümecke, COO of Innocean Europe, said: "Alessia embodies the agency's culture. In my view, culture is the most essential asset an agency can have, especially in times of rapid change. It provides stability and will play a key role in shaping the future."
Sam Ryu, CEO and President of Innocean Europe, added: “Alessia has been instrumental in driving excellence across our European operations. She brings a rare combination of operational precision and creative belief. We are confident she will draw on her deep client knowledge and agency insight not only to move business forward but to raise the standard of the work of German operations with ambition, trust, and respect.”
