Toronto-based production company Impossible Studios has signed Los Angeles-based tabletop director Michelle Pak to its Canadian roster.
With a background in industrial design, animation, and motion graphics, Pak brings a distinct multidisciplinary lens to product filmmaking. Her work pairs rigorous design discipline with kinetic camera movement and rich texture, transforming food and beverage spots into hyper-stylised visual pieces. A core alumna of pioneering tabletop shop WoodShop, Pak’s reel includes high-energy, craveable campaigns for brands like Taco Bell, Burger King, Oikos, Bud Light, and Takis.
“I met Michelle in LA earlier this year and we instantly clicked,” said Marco D’Angelo, executive producer and co-owner of Impossible Studios. “We share very clear creative and personal sensibilities. I knew from the jump that she was my kind of person, someone who is obsessed with the craft and has exceptional taste. We’re excited to have her on board and can’t wait to make some epic work together.”
For Pak, joining Impossible marks an intentional push to bring her design-led aesthetic to the Canadian market alongside a team that values creative experimentation. “Joining Impossible felt completely natural,” added Pak. “They have an appetite for work that breaks out of the standard commercial mold and treats the craft with real intention. It’s a great home for the kind of ambitious, visually driven projects I want to create next.”
