With its new Made For Life campaign, IKEA Germany puts the longevity of its modular PAX wardrobe into the spotlight.

Together with lead agency thjnk, the spots tell the story of Lea, whose PAX accompanies her through different stages of life - from her childhood bedroom and teenage years to her first apartment.

Rather than relying on a traditional hero film and cutdowns, the campaign consists of three standalone 20-second spots. Each tells the same story from a different perspective, focusing on family life, Lea’s parents and her personal development. One idea connects them all: as Lea’s life changes, her PAX is repeatedly dismantled, rebuilt and moved along with her.

“A good price and high quality go hand in hand for us,” says Stefanie Albert, Marketing Communications Manager at IKEA Germany. “The value of a product is not only reflected in the purchase, but above all in everyday life. When a piece of furniture proves its worth over many years, it shows what quality at low price means to us.”

Stefan Schulte, Chief Creative Officer at thjnk, explains that the campaign aims to make longevity tangible over time. As rooms and stages of life change, PAX remains a constant part of the story.
