Independent service production company Habitant is expanding its footprint from Mexico City with the launch of an office in Bogotá, Colombia, marking a fresh and energising chapter for the production powerhouse.

This move reflects Habitant’s success in Mexico to date and continued investment in craft-first production solutions, off the back of a Grand Prix win at Cannes Lions 2025 for GoDaddy’s Act Like You Know feat. Walton Goggins, directed by Ian Pons Jewell through ProdCo.

The new Colombia division, led by Managing Partner/EP Paula Domínguez and supported actively by Habitant’s established global client-facing team, Arturo Arroyo and Elizabeth Tapia, allows the company to better serve both US and international clients, offering new, nimble and culturally resonant production options across a wide spectrum of styles, budgets and formats.

“We've been excited about the potential of Colombia for some time.” says Global MD/Partner, Arroyo. “We’re able to operate intuitively and independently at Habitant, which means we can be responsive to our clients’ needs and move decisively to put more money where it matters: in front of the lens. All of this while keeping the standard we are known for. Colombia gives us that.”

Habitant has already been quietly laying foundations in Colombia, producing for global giants like Google, Airbnb and Loewe, while also collaborating with Colombia’s biggest cultural icons, including singers Karol G and Maluma. The new Bogotá venture reflects a readiness to adapt, whether the ask is for a high-tier celebrity production or cost-conscious storytelling with craft at its core.

“Colombia is emerging as a standout destination for production,” says Domínguez. “With world-class infrastructure, passionate crews and locations that have rarely been seen on screen, it’s a combination of familiar and new. For Habitant and its clients, Colombia is a vibrant alternative to more established hubs, culturally aligned, creatively rich and full of possibility.”

Crucially, the Mexico-Colombia connection strengthens Habitant’s regional presence. With teams in both countries, Habitant can now cover more ground competitively, with easy access to diverse locations, crews, and talent, all just a five-hour flight from the US market. The expanded presence allows for intelligent, tailored solutions across formats to deliver scalable content with global appeal.

“With this expansion, Habitant is looking to bring directors, photographers, production companies and global brands to shoot in Colombia, guaranteeing the same standard we operate at in Mexico,” says Global Managing Partner, Santiago Lebrija. “And of course, those who know me know how much I value hosting, so I’m always on hand to share the best of what the city has to offer.”
