Giants & Toys partners with Berghs and Hyper Island to build a bridge between the industry and education.
Stockholm-based production company Giants & Toys has partnered with leading creative schools Berghs School of Communication and Hyper Island to engage with the next generation of creatives through a series of guest lectures, feedback sessions, and final project reviews.
As part of the initiative, directors Emil Möller, Linnéa Roxeheim, Farzad Farzaneh, and Paul Jerndal spent time with students, sharing insights from their experience. The sessions included open Q&As, hands-on feedback on student work, and participation in end-of-term project presentations, creating a direct exchange between industry professionals and emerging talent.
The collaboration was driven by a shared ambition to strengthen Stockholm’s creative ecosystem by bringing working directors and real production perspectives into the classroom.
“I cried, I laughed, I was inspired, but above all, I left with exuberant hope and a burning desire to become part of the creative industry in the future,” said Hyper Island student Jessica Ekman.
The initiative highlights how production companies and creative institutions can work closely together to support students and nurture future talent. Giants first approached the schools’ program directors, Victoria and Svante, who helped shape the structure of the collaboration and oversaw the coordination of the sessions throughout the course.
Nathan Folbrecht, Executive Producer at Giants & Toys, explains: “There’s an incredible amount of talent concentrated in Stockholm, so it felt natural to get involved. This was about supporting students, but also about finding meaningful ways to continue contributing to the creative community overall.”
The parties see the collaboration as part of an ongoing commitment to education, mentorship, and creative exchange.
