Final Cut adds two new editors to their team
Final Cut announce the signing of two new editors, Kevin Zimmerman and Ramon Morejon.
Further strengthening the depth and ambition of their creative roster Kevin Zimmerman joins Final Cut with a reputation for bringing narratives to life through humour.
His editorial sensibility is shaped by years of experience across commercial and branded content. Zimmerman's path began studying experimental film as an undergraduate, followed by an internship at Industrial Light & Magic, and graduate school for cinematography. Starting off his career in post-production as a vault manager in San Francisco during the dot-com boom, Zimmerman quickly made the jump to editor.
“Kevin’s signing feels both inevitable and long overdue. Final Cut has pursued him more than once and I’ve long admired what he brings to his craft,” says Suzy Ramirez, Managing Director/Executive Producer at Final Cut LA. “We’re ecstatic to finally welcome him into the fold.”
Zimmerman has been editing commercials for 20+ years, working with edit boutiques including Whitehouse, No6 and Arcade, to name but a few, along with freelance engagements throughout his career. A representative handful of Zimmerman's clients include Sprite, Kia, the California Lottery, Microsoft, State Farm, and Miller Lite showing the breadth and ambition of his work. His addition further strengthens Final Cut’s editorial offering, bringing a seasoned and versatile collaborator to the roster.
“I’ve known Suzy (LA MD/EP) forever, I’ve known Final Cut forever, when I moved to LA, they didn’t have an LA office and I actually looked at office spaces for them. It’s been a long flirtation.”
Alongside Zimmerman, Final Cut welcomes Barcelona-born editor Ramon Morejon, whose journey into film began while studying Cinema & TV at Blanquerna University. During his studies, Morejon undertook an internship at a production company as a shoot runner, gaining invaluable on-set experience that would later inform his work in post-production.
After graduating, Morejon transitioned into editing at Piramide Productions, where he began to establish his voice before stepping into freelance work. He quickly became a trusted collaborator for some of Europe’s leading directorial talent, building a commercial showreel that includes iconic campaigns for Apple, Audi, and Diesel, with regular collaborators such as Erik Morales and Los Pérez.
Morejon’s personal favourite remains his first freelance commission: Nike’s Magnificent campaign, featuring the Spanish National Football Team.More recently, Morejon has continued to make waves with a string of high-profile releases. He reunited with Los Pérez on Apple’s short Huracan Ramirez vs. La Piñata Enchilada, won a Gerety Award for his work on Riyadh Season’s Call of the Kings, and edited Lego’s Never Stop Playing campaign, directed by Los Pérez and starring Tom Holland. “Ramon’s work fits seamlessly within the Final Cut roster, we only wished we’d found him sooner,” says Michelle Corney, Managing Director/Executive Producer at Final Cut London. “Clearly we need to travel to Spain more often!”
With these new signings, Final Cut continues to invest in editorial excellence, strengthening its international roster and reaffirming its position as a creative home for world-class editing talent.
