Women-owned bicoastal edit house The Den welcomes Cami Starkman to their roster of editors.

A native of Los Angeles, Starkman’s work is vivid and versatile, spanning commercials, documentaries, music videos, feature films, and numerous shorts.

A graduate of AFI’s MFA film editing program, Starkman has edited an Emmy Award-winning documentary, Tending The Wild, as well as an Emmy-nominated spot for KCET’s Artbound series highlighting MOCA. In addition to editing three feature films, and numerous shorts, she has edited music videos for Katy Perry, Solange, Eminem, Nick Jonas, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, and many more.

Starkman frequently works with directors such as Philippa Price, Christine Yuan, and collaborated with director Melina Matsoukas on a trailer for Queen & Slim. Recent commercial work for clients includes Savage x Fenty with Rihanna, HBO, Valentino, Balmain, Olay, Lyft, Alaska Airlines, Vogue and Stella McCartney.

Vic Palumbo, Managing Director of The Den says, “Cami’s edits have a refined quality to them. Whether it be on a large commercial brand’s ad campaign or a high concept music video, her cuts are always elegant, provocative, and motivated by story. She has an amazing eye and we’re thrilled to have her on our team.”

Starkman adds, “I’ve been editing since I was making videos as alternatives to class projects. There, I truly fell in love with the art of film and video. Working in post feels empowering and ultra-creative as I’m one of the last hands in a team of artists to touch a project before it becomes final. I’m thrilled to be joining The Den’s unique and amazing team.”

Starkman joins The Den’s renowned roster of talent, which also includes Tobias Suhm, Katie Cali, Michael “Middy” Ofori-Attah, Matthew Hilber, Christjan Jordan, Nate Cali, Val Thrasher, Pieter Viljoen, and Tania Mesta.
