Director Ruff Mercy signs with Bunker

Production company Bunker announce that Director/Film-Artist Russ Murphy a.k.a. Ruff Mercy, has joined the roster for exclusive U.S. representation.

Ruff Mercy is a director and artist based in Bristol, UK. He went into motion design and animation, working for a variety of broadcasting networks and agencies. Around 2005 he took to the road, working for MTV in Singapore, Tactic Design in Sydney & Superfad in Los Angeles, before eventually returning to the UK as Creative Director of Superfad UK. In 2010, he moved full-time into directing music videos and commercials. 

He has become known for his loose, hand drawn animations and collages, which are integrated with live action footage.  His work is both surreal and sublime, and incredibly original.

To date he has worked with artists and brands such as: Thom Yorke, Run The Jewels, Danny Brown, Disclosure, Dj Shadow, Earl Sweatshirt, Lily Allen, Nas, Dilla, Madlib, Nightmares on Wax, Apple, Beats, MTV, Dazn, Nike, Adidas, and many more.
