A new signing at Caviar sees directing duo XOXO join the company’s roster for commercial and music video work.

The partnership brings together the combined talents of Tessa Dóniga Johnson and Paula Martín-Ferro Sancho, whose work is recognised for blending hypnotic visual artistry with emotionally immersive storytelling.

With a background in Fine Art, Dóniga Johnson is known for precise compositions, bold use of colour, and distinctive command of motion. Her approach draws viewers in through crafted art direction, considered transitions and inventive camera choices. Martín-Ferro Sancho, trained in film editing, complements this with a strong narrative sensibility, introducing emotional depth and elements of magical realism.

As XOXO, the pair have created campaigns for brands including Meta, McDonald's, Sephora, Jean Paul Gaultier and IKEA, developing a style that combines cinematic intensity with dreamlike beauty.

“XOXO are the kind of directors who make you forget you’re working — their energy is infectious, their synergy is pure chaos in the best way, and somehow it all translates into work that’s sharp, beautiful, and wildly original,” said Salim El Arja, Executive Producer at Caviar. “Pulling off their McDonald’s spot at this stage of their career is almost unheard of, and it’s obvious they’re destined to become superstars in the ad industry. They bring a freshness and boldness that lifts everyone around them, and we feel ridiculously lucky to have them at Caviar.”

“We’ve always admired Caviar’s work and vision, so joining forces feels both exciting and natural for us,” added XOXO. “What makes it even more special is the energy we’ve shared with Salim from the start: young, optimistic, and full of hope! That connection goes beyond the professional; it makes us even more inspired to create and grow together.”

Based in Spain, Dóniga Johnson and Martín-Ferro Sancho came together under the banner of XOXO after building individual careers in visual arts and editing. Their complementary skills have positioned them as a directing team bringing both craft and emotion to every project.
