Bayonet Media and Chop Shop Post Production have named longtime advertising and production executive Tim Jacobs as their new National Head of Sales / Executive Producer, bringing nearly three decades of experience across production, post-production, agency relationships, and creative development to the growing companies.

Jacobs joins Bayonet at a time when agencies and brands are increasingly looking for production partners who can do more than simply execute a brief. His role will focus on expanding Bayonet and Chop Shop’s relationships with agencies, brands, and creative partners nationwide, while helping clients find the right combination of production, creative development, and post-production services for each project.

Throughout his career, Jacobs has worked across the production and agency sides of the business, holding leadership and producing roles at companies including Doug Stephen & Partners, Optimus, Protein Editorial, The Whitehouse, and Filmcore, as well as agency-side positions at Ogilvy, BBDO West, and FCB. He has worked with major brands including McDonald’s, Capital One, Coca-Cola, Toyota, Kellogg’s, ESPN, Nintendo, Visa, Mattel, and Gatorade.

“Tim brings something we value enormously at Bayonet: he understands the client’s side of the table,” said Kevin Grazioli, Executive Producer & Partner at Bayonet and Chop Shop. “He knows how agencies work, he knows what producers and creatives need from a production partner, and most importantly, he knows how to build relationships. We’re excited to have him helping grow Bayonet and Chop Shop nationally.”

In his new role, Jacobs will represent Bayonet’s production capabilities while also helping expand the opportunities created by its relationship with Chop Shop Post Production. Together, the companies offer agencies and brands access to production and post-production under one roof, while maintaining the flexibility to work independently or combine services depending on the needs of a project.

“I’ve spent most of my career on both sides of the production conversation, so joining Bayonet felt like a pretty natural fit,” said Jacobs. “They make really good work, they’re great people, and they’ve built a company that understands how clients actually want to work today. Having Bayonet and Chop Shop together gives us the ability to build the right team around each project.”

Jacobs will be based in the Chicago market and will lead national sales efforts for Bayonet and Chop Shop, developing new agency and brand relationships while continuing to work directly with creative and production teams throughout the country.

“After this many years in the business, I’ve learned that the best sales pitch is usually pretty simple: find good people, make good work, and don’t make things harder than they need to be,” Jacobs said. “That’s what I see at Bayonet, and I’m excited to be part of it.”
