Arts & Sciences signs Daniel&Szymon to US roster
Daniel Schaefer and Szymon Rose are poised to launch the next chapter of their careers as commercial filmmakers stateside, with the creative backing of Arts & Sciences.
After signing with Arts & Sciences London in 2025, Daniel&Szymon are now also represented by Arts & Sciences in the US.
Former Jung von Matt CCOs Daniel Schaefer and Szymon Rose are poised to launch the next chapter of their careers as commercial filmmakers stateside, with the creative backing of Arts & Sciences.
Already known for their rich cinematic palette and directing scenes with emotional depth, Daniel&Szymon’s films are ornately detailed with candid moments of human vulnerability that compel the audience towards the screen. Their recent work for Erste Bank, Carry the Light, thoughtfully tells the story of the first Christmas through the eyes of a donkey. Dedicated to creating films that feel immersive and authentic, Daniel&Szymon ventured to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, bringing with them experts on ancient Aramaic to ensure the dialogue felt true to the times.
This approach to directing is also seen in other work for Erste Bank, which includes sensitive, narrative-driven spots such as Life Stories, The Audition, and last year’s Christmas opus, Silent Night, which earned two Clios. In their inaugural year as commercial directors, Daniel&Szymon have also been tapped to helm spots for European brands Migros and Persil, and were nominated for AICP’s Best New Director in 2025.
Prior to directing, the duo built successful careers as advertising creatives, developing campaigns for brands such as Facebook, Hyundai, Axe, Samsung, and LEGO, among many others. Their work has earned nearly every major industry honor, including Cannes Lions, British Arrows, and D&AD Pencils.
Schafer and Rose say of signing for US representation, “We’ve admired the work coming out of Arts & Sciences in the U.S. for years, so joining their roster feels a little like sneaking into a very cool club we’ve long wanted to be part of. We’re hugely grateful and excited for what’s next.”
“This feels like the natural next step for Daniel&Szymon,” remarks Mal Ward, Arts & Sciences’ Managing Director and Partner.
“Their debut year as directors at Arts & Sciences London has been impressive to say the least. With their incredible creative pedigree, they know what goes into making standout work, and their reputation is stellar. We’re excited to be representing them in the US, we know they’ll do amazing things.”
