While homelessness may feel like an inevitable part of city life, FCB Inferno has proved that small initiatives can be introduced to improve the problem.

Back in 2015, the agency partnered with The Big Issue and The Old Spike Roastery to create Change Please; a social enterprise that provided employment to London’s homeless in the shape of mobile coffee carts.

Not only does the initiative allow people living on the streets to have a job with a full salary, but Change Please also helped them to find a home to rent and provided them with new skills and emotional support, when needed.

Now two years on, the coffee brand will be hitting Sainsbury’s UK stores, becoming available in over 375 branches from Sept 18th

All profits raised from the sale of Change Please coffee will continue to be be donated to the cause and provide income for the homeless.

Former rough sleeper, Thomas Noble, who has benefited from the programme lends his face and story to some of the brand’s packaging (at top), although various characters adorn different packs.

Noble describes Change Please as “a new chance at life, a family, friends and a job I love. I've made a lot of mistakes in my life, I never thought I’d make it past 30. Now I'm 34, I have my own flat, and best of all I can have a chance to succeed and have a nice productive successful life with all the support anyone could ever ask for. Change Please means "LIFE" for me, I wouldn't be here now without them, I know this for sure.”

And for coffee lovers, you have three flavours to choose from – dark chocolate and caramel balanced with hits of honeyed plum; milk chocolate blend with hints of buttery vanilla; and hazelnut and caramel.

For just £4.50 a bag, you have no excuse not to buy coffee that could make a difference. So visit the website, order a pack and find out where your nearest vendor is located. Go on!
