Caribbean-inspired soft drink brand KA Drinks (they of your local corner shop fridge) and London agency BMB are on the hunt for a hot new grime artist, a rapper with (Fruit) punch-y lyrics who can (Karnival K)rush the competition with their bars.

To enter, aspiring performers have to (Man)go (that's the last one I promise) to KA's Soundcloud page and download the KA Riddim, an instrumental backing track they can sing or spit over, sharing the results on social media with the hashtag #KAGetRated.

This 'riddim' (a grime term originating from reggae for rhythms/backing tracks) was produced by Prince Rapid, who appears in the launch film for the new competition. In this film, directed for BMB by Calum Head, the producer shares his journey into grime and describes the thought process behind the KA Riddim track.

This latest campaign continues the soda brand's long-standing support of the music genre. They have previously created both the GRM Daily, the UK's leading grime site, and its awards, the KA and GRM Daily Awards (above).
